JVG Training Centre
Rehabilitation centre for people with ABI (Acquired Brain Injury)
Restructuring Team Hierarchy based on discovered latent Team Quality.

To improve and future-proof the organisation around the JvG Training Centre, Team SUMMIT was called in. There was a need for more insight into the qualities of team members and a redistribution of roles to leverage everyone's strengths. This brings more clarity, structure and ownership to the daily operations of the centre.

The six core team members completed a SUMMIT profile. From these personal profiles, a complete Team Profile was created for JvG Training Centre — giving insight into the team's available capacities: people-oriented, action-oriented and vision-oriented.

Environmental sensitivities, energy patterns, personality structures, team roles, cognitive patterns and team dynamics were all mapped.

From this, an advisory report emerged to optimise team collaboration — with strengths, recommendations and potential pitfalls on the path to the new role distribution.

Within the organisation, a split was made between strategic leadership and operational leadership, resulting in two complementary teams, making JvG Training Centre organisationally ready for the future.

When the game moves faster than your thoughts, the real work starts with yourself.

The best referees don't distinguish themselves only by what they see, but by how well they understand themselves — precisely in the moments that matter.

In collaboration with De Ontwikkelstudio, we worked with the KNVB with a group of eight talented referees. Young, ambitious and ready to take the next step.

Together with De Ontwikkelstudio, we demonstrated at the KNVB that: they had the level. They had the ambition. But as is so often the case at top level, the difference was no longer in knowledge or rules. It was in something else. The reality of the pitch — a match doesn't wait.

The central question;
Not: what must you do as a referee?
But: what happens to you when the pressure rises?


Do you stay calm? Do you speed up? Do you force things, or do you hesitate? And more importantly: do you have control over that? The approach? Back to basics: yourself!

With the Summit profiles, we didn't look at performance on the outside, but at what happens on the inside.
Each referee gained insight into:

•⁠ ⁠their reactions under pressure
•⁠ where their strength lies
•⁠ ⁠where that same strength can work against them
•⁠ ⁠more composure in chaotic situations

Referees began to understand themselves better. They recognised their patterns. They sensed sooner when they were losing balance — and developed ways to bring themselves back.

Hockey Team
Real performance emerges when people understand each other.
Summit and Velior collaborate with the management staff of HC Oranje Rood to grow together from insight, trust and clear structures.

Using the Summit profile team assessment, we fully mapped the management team — bringing individual qualities, energy patterns and behavioural preferences into sharp focus. This gave direct insight into strengths, but also into the underlying dynamics and potential tension areas within the team.

From there, the real work began. In the collaboration between Summit and Velior, these insights were translated into concrete action. Where Summit provided the insight, Velior ensured its application in the daily practice of the coach and management staff.


The result was more than just structure.

A strong communication flow emerged in which understanding, trust and empathy took centre stage. Even when there were differences of opinion — and there regularly were — the collaboration remainedconstructive. Precisely because there was more insight into each other, these differences became valuable rather than disruptive.

For the coach, this meant more calm, clarity and decisiveness. For the staff, it meant better collaboration, less noise and more focus on what truly matters: performance.

Furthermore, this approach also has future value: when new team members join, it immediately becomes clear which profile would strengthen the existing dynamic. Team development thereby becomes a conscious, strategic choice.
